WORKSHOP 1:Understanding the concept of Linear Algebra
In this workshop, we will introduce the concept of Linear Algebra. You may have already come across sets of two or three simultaneous equations before. We will extend the idea of simultaneous equations in the wider field of linear Algebra. We will look at the different solutions of sets of simultaneous equations.
WORKSHOP 2: Using Gauss elimination to solve Linear Equations
This workshop builds on the previous workshop, and explores an efficient strategy for determining the solution of a system of linear equations called Gauss elimination.
WORKSHOP 3: An introduction to Matrices
This workshop explores matrices and their order, addition and subtraction of matrices, multiplication of a matrix with a scalar, identity and zero matrix, laws for the basic operations on matrices, and the transpose of a matrix.
WORKSHOP 4: Matrix Multiplication
This workshop explores the dot product of two vectors, multiplication of a matrix with a scalar, multiplication of a matrix with a vector, multiplication of a matrix with a matrix, and laws for matrix multiplication.
