What does the role include?
The Student Ambassador Scheme is run by the Student Recruitment Office at Swansea University. As an office we are in charge of organising the pre application Open Days and Applicant Visit Days and rely heavily on the help of our ambassadors to run these events!
There are so many reasons to become a Student Ambassador at Swansea University! You can meet new friends while gaining excellent employability skills plus there are many different reward schemes available such as our loyalty card scheme and the Student Recruitment Ambassador Award.
What will I be responsible for?
Student Ambassadors will be responsible for ensuring that visitors to the University receive a high quality and enjoyable experience, representing the University in a variety of roles and showing prospective students and parents around the University on organised campus tours.
Student Ambassadors will need to be a full time Swansea University student and must have the ability to speak English fluently.
How will the scheme benefit me?
As a Student Ambassador you will receive formal training and can benefit from various incentives including free lunch for each day you work, a free ambassador t-shirt, a reference letter when you finish as well as collecting stamps for our rewards scheme.
You will also gain valuable transferable skills for your CV and can apply for a paid Team Leader position after one year as a volunteer. You can also work towards the Student Recruitment Ambassador Award which, on completion, is recognised on your HEAR certificate at Graduation.
