Microsoft Office for Students

We’re pleased to confirm that all current, registered students of Swansea University, can now download free copies of Microsoft Office on to your own PCs or mobile devices. This is a benefit of the Microsoft Student Advantage subscription, and enables you to use Office for the duration of your time at this University.

What do I get?

You get a full version of Office ProPlus for the PC (inc. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher etc.) or Apple Mac (inc. Word, Excel and PowerPoint), for installation on up to 5 personally owned machines – app versions are also available from Apple App Store or Google Play store for mobile devices, again for up to 5 personally owned mobile devices.

Where do I get it?

Click on the link below to login to Microsoft’s download page. Be aware that this download comes from Microsoft and not from ourselves at the University.

Anything else I need to know?

The software will be valid throughout your time as a student here in Swansea University, therefore you might get prompted periodically to sign in to keep it activated.

Matlab is a high-level language interactive environment and is available as a download for students.

Your user name is the first part of your Swansea University e-mail address before the @ symbol.

If your email address is then your user name is 123456. Use your normal University password.
