We won!

NASMA Award

Money@CampusLife’s initiative Taste of Home Foodie Tour was awarded the Innovative Activity Award at the Student Money Advice Awards hosted by NASMA – the National Association of Student Money Advisers.  The Taste of Home Foodie Tour is an initiative set up to encourage students to engage with the local community through food, and save money in the process!  Our Foodie Tours guide students around the city, taking in the sights and the tastes of Swansea’s culinary institutions – Joe’s Ice Cream anyone?  We take students around Swansea market, Wales’ largest indoor market, where not only do they discover places to buy fresh produce for less cost but also get to sample the unique textures of traditional Welsh fayre such as cockles and laverbread.

The judges commented, "Wow! What a fantastic project with positive outcomes for financial capability and student life skills but also going full circle to contribute towards engagement between ‘town and gown’.  An interesting initiative that others could learn from.”

Award-Winning Foodie Tours COMING SOON for 2018/19!  Keep an eye on our social media for dates and get involved!
